Our shopping cart is NOT set up to add a specific amount to each order we ship. We prefer to tailor the shipping cost to what is ordered and we try to charge actual shipping to most orders, which saves our customers money. We base our shipping charges on the product ordered rather than a dollar amount.

Also, once you place your order, you can expect to hear back from us with a personal e-mail to confirm receipt of your order AND confirm your total ‘including’ shipping charges, so please do not send a check (if paying that way) until you get that order confirmation from us. The order confirmation you get from Americart confirming that your order went through is not the order total that includes shipping.

Some examples of how be figure shipping charges:

*International orders are always charged actual shipping cost. The $5.50 and $9.50 global priority envelopes are utilized as often as we can. These are an excellent deal. We can fit lots of unmounted stamps in either, or up to 8 full sheets in the $9.50 envy! That saves you a lot of money over the regular shipping methods. For mounted orders, we can fit a few mounted stamps in the $9.50 envy, but when a mounted order is much larger that that, we ship airmail or surface, whichever you prefer…and we charge the actual shipping cost to your CC after the order is shipped. If you order one full sheet, we can cut it in half to fit in the $5.50 envy, which ends up being cheaper than sending regular airmail. Please be aware that some countries do not accept global priority mail, so that may not be an option for you.

*Full sheets: If you order one sheet of rubber, we generally charge approx. $2.75 to ship it. If you order more sheets that that, we charge $4.50, and we can fit up to 8 full sheets in the $4.50 flat rate priority envy! If you are determined to own even more MHSFY sheets that that, we would ship UPS and charge approx. $6 to $10.00…depending on how many sheets are ordered. (unless you meet a free shipping offer that month for a certain dollar amount on your order…then shipping would be FREE!)

*Unmounted stamps: if you order 1 unmounted stamp, we usually charge anywhere from .75 to $1.25, depending on the size of the stamp. When you order more than that, shipping can cost from $1.25 for a few stamps to $4.50 for a priority envy packed full of unmounted stamps.

*Mounted stamps: if you order 1 mounted stamp, we charge from $1.75 to $2.00 depending on the size of the stamp ordered. If more are ordered, we charge from $1.75 for a few small ones, to $4.50 for what we can fit in a priority envy. If it is a larger mounted stamp order, it is generally shipped UPS which runs from $5.00 to $8.00 depending on how many are ordered. (unless you meet a free shipping offer that month for a certain dollar amount on your order…then shipping would be FREE!)

*Catalog only orders are not charged shipping, but are sent out as media mail, which does take longer to get to you.
